United put the current squad on their website today. An interesting and curious decision to put the list up there. Who knows why it was done because it’s squeaky bum time for a lot of them.
Two hours after that list was published it was old news. Janko is out the door to Celtic today. Nani probably gone to Fenerbache by Friday. And by the time the squad starts pre-season next week the list could see even more edits.
Pending Gone or loaned: De Gea, Lindegaard, Evans, Rafael, Januzaj, Powell, Henriquez, Hernandez, Keane, Van Persie
That’s potentially 12 players out of a posted 35. A cull down to 22-23 with new players plugged in takes you to a squad of around 27-28. Just about right when you take in the demands of all competitions.
Still a head scratching post though.
